New employers continue to join the impressive roster of sustainable companies that are proud to call New Albany home base. Further demonstrating the success of this hot market is the addition of 800 more acres of business campus expansion.  The Village of New Albany and major developer New Albany Company have partnered together to create swift response to site selectors requesting to locate new businesses.  Fashion Giant Abercrombie & Fitch not only built a large corporate campus including offices and a distribution center, but completed planned with the success of its Hollister Stores and other concepts.  Tween Brands (formerly Limited Too), also utilized abundant space in the business campus to expand its corporate office.  International employer Commercial Vehicle Group completed a brand new office complex and research and design center.  These progressive companies join other significant job centers such as American Electric Power, Discover Financial Services, State Farm Insurance, Aetna, EMH&T, JP Morgan, and the Mount Carmel Health and New Albany Surgical Center.

Site selectors keep New Albany on their radar as a result of the availability of large parcels of land with convenient expressway access, a beautiful new office complex with highway visibility, and shovel ready sites that can accommodate a wide size range.  On site parking, a large dedicated labor pool spanning adjacent communities, a variety of housing stock and numerous amenities, contributes to New Albany’s success in attracting solid performers.  Some properties come with tax incentives connected to job creation. 

The Daimler Group, New Albany Company, Georgetown Company and Capital Square Ltd., will open a new 250,000 square foot prestigious speculative office complex called the Water’s Edge which features picturesque fountains, highway exposure and easy access. 

Among recent projects are the installation of an incubator for entrepreneurs and connection to a fiber optic network that allows super speed and access to the State’s third frontier program.
