Sandy Diggs, CLU MA is currently the Agency Field Executive for State Farm Insurance Co and is responsible for assisting 25 State Farm Agency offices with insurance and financial services market growth on the east side of Columbus, Ohio.
She began her career with State Farm in September 1988 as an Underwriter in the Eastern Regional Office in Charlottesville, Virginia. After several operations promotions, Sandy pursued her entrepreneurial interest and was appointed a State Farm Agent in Stafford, Virginia in March 1994. During her time as a State Farm Agent, she qualified as Life Leader, Decade of the 90s Sales Achievement, Regional VP Club and earned numerous incentive trips and awards. In May 1997, after three years of successfully developing her agency in multiple lines sales, she was selected as the Eastern Regional Superintendent of Agency Recruiting. Her responsibilities included selecting and developing all new agents throughout Virginia and North Carolina. Sandy was promoted to Agency Field Consultant in Raleigh, North Carolina in January 1999 and provided business consulting needs to 35 State Farm Agency offices in central North Carolina. In June 2000, Sandy was offered a career developmental opportunity in the Ohio Regional Executive Office where she worked closely with the Vice Presidents on marketing and branding, professional sales curriculum, financial management and industry issues. Sandy was promoted to Agency Field Executive in the Dayton, Ohio market in January 2002 and in 2004 assumed her current role as Agency Field Executive here in Columbus.
Sandy is a graduate of James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Norfolk State University in Norfolk, Virginia with a Master’s of Arts degree in Communication. She has also earned the Chartered Life Underwriter designation from the American College and she has also attended the Brookings Institute in Washington, DC.
She is a member of GAMA International, National Black MBA, and the American College Alumni Association.
In her spare time, Sandy enjoys traveling, container gardening, golf and spending time with her two rescue dogs, Clem a collie and Sunny a cocker spaniel.
